8 yrs. Old 16.3 Bay Gelding

This late maturing bay gelding was broken as a 4yr.old and quietly ridden away during 2007.
 He has been hunted regularly and looks ideally suited to this activity, although jumping in whatever capacity comes naturally to him.

His eventing career has blossomed with successful outings and placings at BE100/Pre-Novice level graduating upto Novice with improving dressage marks,
show-jumping clears and cross-country completions. He has now gained 2 BE points for double-clears at Novice level.

There is no doubt now that show-jumping is his ‘forte’ and we have campaigned him indoors through the winter where he has excelled upto 1.25m
having been placed a number of times at Newcomer and  Foxhunter level. We are hoping to qualify him for the Newcomer Area Finals in 2010.
He is jumping presently at home upto 1.35m. and should make Grade A in a couple of years.  

‘Popeye’ is full of character and is now maturing into a most competitive horse, suitable for a capable
amateur or professional to take up through the ranks in 2010.
