‘Horace’ as he is known, has inherited his mother’s boldness and his father’s composure. He has 3 natural paces and has developed remarkably with his quick
learning ability and undoubted scope and is destined for Advanced Events with Badminton and Burleigh now firmly in sight.

In 2006 with Emily Philp he was placed 4 times in 6 outings at Pre-Novice level and three times at Novice, finishing the season with 6 points.

In 2007 he and Emily continued their partnership at Novice level and was 7th at the Welsh Championships at Chepstow. 

With Graham Law now riding, he was 7th at Barbary Castle and was 5th in his first Intermediate at Thirlestane Castle.

Jenny Plant became our resident rider in 2008 and had immediate success with ‘Horace’, being placed at both Novice and Intermediate levels together with qualification for CCI**.
In 2009 he was placed 3rd at Withington Intermediate and 30th at Burghie CCI** out of 60. 

In September, he completed Osberton CCI** in 37th place after an inattentive dressage, but clear inside the time cross-country
and 2 show-jumps down gaining a further 5 points and finishing his season with 38 BE points.

This horse is ideally suited to an ambitious Young Rider taking him or her to 4* level in two or three years time.

He will have further intensive dressage training and show-jumping at Foxhunter and 1.30m level before the start of the season and a few Intermediate runs in the
Spring,  thereafter hoping to qualify at 3* level with an Advanced and CIC*** completion.

He is likely to have a further CCI** run during the summer and maybe Blenheim 3* in September.
